About
This blog is our sheer love to our movie industry. My husband started blogging about Indian movies before our marriage. After he started his job, he had no interest and/or time to continue updating it. I was really excited when Amit talked about this blog and I wanted to continue writing in it. The excitement faded after a couple of attempts to update it. Then Amit came in to rescue by taking my hand and helping in every aspects of this blog. Now, I am a bit better in dealing with it. Amit says it is no fun reading simple-straight blogs. I hope a bit gossip (he can’t do that), controversy (I am not good in), and spices (Amit’s fav.) will make this blog exciting and interesting.
The name Bollywood might be borrowed from Hollywood. But, a lot of movies made in India are original and don’t have any Hollywood scent in them. ‘Raja Harishchandra’ in 1913, by Dadasaheb Phalke, was the first silent feature film made in India. After that, several hundreds of movies are being made every year in India. Documenting all those movies in a blog is nearly impossible. I only write about what I see and feel about the movie I watch, actors and actresses I admire, and the news I prefer to talk about.
Amit also write some posts from time to time, creating a different flavor in the blog. I hope the cocktail of contents filled with male and female perspectives would make a sweet-sour a typical Indian dish. If you can add a bit of spice, please write me in comment.
Yours,
Anahu Tiwari
